Some of us met at the 555 bus stop at the Hyperdome from where we proceeded to pick up more members on the way to the city where we finally caught up with others who came into town by other means. It was morning tea time so the Shingle Inn provided us with take away coffee on our way along the Heritage Walk down to Old Government House in the QUT grounds.
Brisbane was very generous in providing us with not only ideal light but lots of great subjects to capture along the way.
Old Government House was actually open to the public even though it is a public holiday. For many of us it was the first time we actually entered this historic building.
Then, we visited the QUT Science Building next door, where there is a gigantic interactive digital aquarium to be admired.
Finally, we all strolled back to Brisbane Square for a lunch meal at the only place open, the Shingle Inn. All in all, a great day out for the club.
