We're off and Running Again

Hi members,

We had a packed first meeting this morning mixed with  existing members, some members who have been absent returning and of course a number of new faces who came for the first time. In fact the club membership is now full and we have about 10 prospective members on a waiting list for Term 2 should we lose any existing members.

Diane started the meeting with one of the most important aspects of photography, Composition! You'll find the notes on her presentation on this blog (top right)

Then Michael Yip showed us some of his photographs from his recent trip, entitled, Photographic Record of South Xinjiang, China. He was travelling with a group of professional photographers and it rubbed off as he displayed some excellent photographs.

China really has some stunning scenery

Michael captured the scenery perfectly

Stunning Mountains
Then we introduced a new feature of our meetings which we'll continue everytime we'll meet, where we group together with other members who have the same brand of camera to help each other working out settings and functions to get to know our cameras better.

The next meeting is on the 25th February where we'll be discussing Lighting.
