Just a reminder that we meet tomorrow morning at 10.00am at the Logan North Library.
Bring your best shots from the visit to the Beenleigh Historical Village as well as some of your best shots or videos, which might be incorporated in a video we're screening at the Logan U3A Christmas party on the 13th December 2010.
Hi members. Today's outing was to the Beenleigh Historical village, which offers lots of opportunities for pictures. After the shoot, we gathered at the village cafe for lunch and tea or coffee.
For next meeting, bring along some of your best shots for a slideshow we're putting together for the Christmas Party. This slideshow will play in the background. It doesn't matter where or when you took the pictures, we'll stick them into the slideshow somehow.
Thursday 9th December 10.00 am at the Logan North Library
It maybe raining tomorrow morning, how knows, so we may need to arrange alternative means. I suggest, we all meet at Underwood Park Lake as planned and see what happens. So please come to the lake at 10.00 am and we'll go from there.
We had our inaugural meeting of the Logan U3A Camera Club on Thursday morning at the Logan North Library. We discussed trends and popularity of digital cameras as well as techniques of photo composition and how to capture people.

A survey of people attending showed that most are interested both in still photography and videos, so future meetings will be structured around both methods. It is a great forum for photo enthusiasts of our age, to get together and learn from each other.
The next meeting is a field trip to Underwood Park on Thursday 21st October at 10.00 AM where we will take pictures of the abundant wildlife and magnificent scenery.
The dates and venues have now been confirmed. Unless otherwise advised, we will meet at the Logan North Library in Springwood. We try to meet on Thursday mornings, unfortunately the second meeting in October had to be re-scheduled for Friday afternoon as the venue was already booked.
Bring your cameras, lenses and manuals as well as any other equipment you normally use.
If you are interested to join us, please let Kathryn know.
